Ten great things that can be said about Wuxi, China.
10) It has a lot of canals, and so it is a great place to watch boat traffic.
9) It has a lot of bridges. You have to be a real cretin to not like a good bridge.
8) It has a baseball stadium. Believe it or not, it does!
7) It is not Shanghai. Shanghai is a wannabe world city that has too many foreigners living in it.
6) You can go days without seeing foreigners. And that is a good thing.
5) Wuxi is spread out. It is not so small and not so easy to take in as the Lonely Planet would have it.
4) HyLite Language School. That is where Wuxi Andis works. The best English School. Period.
2) Wuxi peaches. In season, they are sweet and soft.
1) The 2010 Wuxi Red Guards NFL Fantasy Football Team. Visit this site to find out their inspirational story. It is a story only bettered by the Gospels of Matthew, Luke, Mark, and John.

Wuxi, China Pub Owner to build 88m tall beer bottle statue.
Xing Dao, owner of the Cuba Lounge in Wuxi, China, announced his plan to built a 88m tall statue of a bottle of Snow Beer on the top of his pub in the Hu Bin Bar District.
"Now that we have a 88m tall Buddha, and will have a 88m tall Big Jesus, I thought it was only appropriate that we build a 88m tall beer bottle for atheistic, materialistic, and libertine beer drinkers. Those people spend a lot of money and add to the Wuxi Economy when they get drunk and take advantage of our young impressionable women. They need a staute too."

Fun Thing to do in Wuxi, China #1: Watching Paint Dry!
Yes sir! Wuxi, China is an Expat's number choice for watching paint dry. It was only last year that an English teacher took a week off from his job so he could watch the paint dry in his Chinese friend's apartment. The Expat spent 100 straight hours watching paint dry -- surely a record.
So popular is the activity that many Wuxi Expat pubs have set aside walls to be painted on a daily basis just so the patrons can watch them dry.
