Jean-Claude Juncker: Wuxi China Expatdom capable of having a kick-ass navy by 2014
The head of the Euro Navy group at the European Union, Prime Minister of Luxembourg Jean Claude Juncker believes that the Wuxi China Expatdom will succeed in achieving its goal of having the largest navy in the world by 2014.

Have there been any discussions yet as to the names that will be given to the ships in this mighty armada?
ReplyDeleteThe British Royal Navy likes ship-names like
"HMS Astute"; "Illustrious", "Invincible", et al.
The German Navy prefers titles such as "Bismarck".
But these are all fancy-pantsie type names for warships.
On the other hand the USN names their giant carriers after former Presidents - much more respectful, and impressive. So, any chance of at least two of the WCE's new carriers being named "Bush", and "Nixon"? And also "Goldwater" should be similiarly-honoured - any thoughts?

ReplyDeleteOne thing is for sure, Lloyd Bridges will either be named admiral of the WCEN, or at least have one aircraft carrier named after him.
I would name some of the ships after movie stars like Fred Astaire, and James Stewart, and Ida Lupino.
