The Walnut Pub located in Wuxi's 1912 Bar District will hold a special clam night on Thursday, December 13.
"Yes indeed!" says the Walnut Pub's manager George Wallace, "The Walnut is going to have a Ku Klux Clam Night. Dress up like a Klansman and you will get a free bag of clams and fifty percent off drinks!"
Asked why in the world they would have such a night with a controversial theme night, Wallace told the WCE Blog that he was impressed by the turnout at Mahovlich's Temperance League Night, and thought the pub could get a similar sized crowd as well. "Controversy draws patrons! And owner Wally Droop is thinking of shutting the pub down and moving to Taixing, so we got to do what we's got to do to save our jobs!"
