That's not the typical reaction of an Expat to Chicken's Feet, but Hans Zimmerman is not your typical Wuxi Expat. He loves them and says Chicken Breasts makes okay toilet paper. This Continental European has brought an esoteric brand of eccentricity to Wuxi. The tolerant among the Expats and the locals have learned to love the guy and his companion underwear. Gambays Pub, in the 1912 Bar District, home of the 4 rmb Chicken Sandwich, will serve Chicken's Feet exclusively to Zimmerman on Buffalo Wing Nights.
Zimmerman finds Chicken's Feet to be more delicious than Chicken Breasts or Chicken Wings. When asked how he tried Chicken's Feet in the first place, Zimmerman said that back in Bavaria, he had developed a fondness, thanks to an uncle, for pig's knuckles and cow's knees, so it was nothing unusual for him to try Chicken's Feet.
Asked if he was inconvenienced by long line-ups of the locals for Chicken's Feet, Zimmerman said that he got deferential treatment from the locals. "It is no unusual for a woman who has been waiting an hour in line for Chicken's Feet to yield her place to me."
Zimmerman also loves Smelly Tofu, saying that not only does he eat it, he rubs all over body when taking his monthly shower.
