Gambays, a Wuxi Expat Pub in the 1912 Bar District, home of the 17 rmb T-Bone Steak, is opening a 24 hour marriage chapel is hopes of cashing in on the Wuxi, China Expatdom Supreme Court ruling that legalized marriage between humans and inanimate object(s).
Said Gambays owner Fred Minklemen: "The Chapel would be authentic and ecumenical, with seats for forty and facilities for receptions afterwards. The official(s) presiding will be from any religion you want."
Asked why so many Expats are seeking to marry inanimate objects, Minklemen had a few theories: "Some see tax advantages to doing it, no doubt. Some were probably already married to and divorced from inanimate humans, if you know what I mean. And some people do fall madly in love in their stuff."
