Hans Zimmerman is not the only Wuxi Expat who desires to marry his undergarments.
Rhoda Morris, long-time Wuxi bar patron and English Teacher, wants to marry her ten year old brassiere and panties. Unfortunately, she has run into some legal snags.
Wuxi, China Expatdom law explicitly forbids polygamy and bigamy. Officials at the Expatdom Marriage Licensing Agency have told her this means that a Wuxi Expat can't marry two objects at once. Morris, who has countered that her bra and panties are part of a matching set with the same polka-dot yellow and beige pattern, is taking the agency to the Expatdom's Supreme Court. If the case fails, she will petition the Wuxi, China Expatdom legislature, which will convene in the new lunar year, to change the law to allow Expats to marry matching sets of objects. Morris says that the law as it stands now is discriminatory against women and people who fall in love with sets.
